My fav christmas gift as a kid is a toss up between my bouncing pony which was a lot of fun and my nintendo..thats right old school style nothing beats that!! I didn't even ask for it but I got it and I still have it in my house with me...old school rules!!!
Now send me some truffles!!
it would have to be my bike that santa gave me. why was this my favorite gift? because all the other kids new how to ride a bike but me! i loved my pink and baby blue huffy.
Oh my heck, seriously I can't think of what I got when I was little accept socks and a twirly skirt... exciting huh?! I did love that twirly skirt though, I got it in 1st grade and thought it was the best! I would sit down indian style and it would completely cover my legs in a big circle... weird that this is what I remember?!
Oreo truffles sound delicious!
I got a pair of roller skates and some cheerleader pompoms on the same Christmas. I thought I was so hot rolling down the street with my skates, waving my pompoms. I've seen pictures, and I wasn't hot, but I sure did have fun.
One year me and all my brothers got 2 homemade hockey nets and roller blades and sticks! We played aoutside forever, even in the snow because it was hockey!! It was awesome because we had to share it but it was fun because we all played together!
I loved and collected american girl dolls. So, every year I got something american girl doll, and it was always my favorite.
By the way... your amazing. Can't wait to dig my teeth into some of those divine truffles!
So my favorite/most memorable was one Christmas that I had strep throat. I had to get one of those huge shots in my butt the day before and so sitting was no good. I had asked for one present only...a 6 disc stereo. Christmas came and everyone had what they wanted and there I sat in my corner on my sore a** feeling sorry for myself because all I got was a stocking full of little things like candy bars and an orange. I was almost in tears when someone said there was something under the tree in the very back. It was a card - so not a stereo! It was for me though. I opened it up and read the poem that ended something like this, "take your sore little hiney and look behind the couch." And sure enough, Santa had not forgotten me and my stereo! I still have that thing and it does not work. The reason it's such a memorable one for me is that I felt SO bad for feeling so sorry for myself and pouting a little bit. It was so humbling for some reason. From then on, I really didn't care what I got for Christmas. I was just happy Santa had come no matter what he brought.
P.S.
Your cakes look amazing! And so do the truffles. Pretty much all of it makes my mouth water!
The Christmas gift I most remember is a rainbow striped shirt. The day I got it I hated it but smiled and tried to pretend. I ended up wearing it out of desperation and loved it, it became my favorite shirt. My mom had to take it away when it got holes in the front.
PS Cakes and truffles and sweets oh my!
I remember when I was little asking Santa for 10 slap bracelets. And I got them. It was magical to me that I got all 10.
My pink banana seat bike! I accidentally saw it on my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I shrieked, then proceeded straight to the bathroom and quickly back to bed.
How fun! I didn't know you were doing this, anyway my favorite childhood toy or should I say funny story, only to make me BELIEVE in SANTA even more, I sat on Santa's lap and asked Santa for a simple sheet of Unicorn stickers...BUT Santa misheard me and thought I said a Unicorn Picture, but I was too shy to correct Santa, so I was a little sad that I was going to get stickers, my parent's asked me what was wrong and I told them that I had asked for the stickers and that he thought I said a Unicorn picture...so can you guess what Santa got me that year? A Unicorn PICTURE!!! I loved the gift because it made me BELIEVE :)

Oh my gosh! What a fun idea!
My favorite gift was Totally Hair Barbie. I played with her for hours and hours. Her hair went all the way to her feet and she came with hair gel. If I still had her, I'd still be playing with her hair!

My favorite Christmas gift as a kid was either a Boombox or Rollerblades. We were always really, really poor, and never got exactly what we asked for because it was too expensive. So the years I got those I felt like we were not that poor after all because I got what I wanted.

My favorite childhood Christmas present was the Super Mario Bros. GameBoy game that I got. My older sister got the actual GameBoy. It was my parents, clever, way of making us share since we couldn't play the GameBoy without each others gift!
Many years later, Nintendo invented the Wii for people like me. When I would play the GameBoy, and needed Mario to jump to the other side, I'd turn the GameBoy to the side, hoping gravity would get him, successfully over.
My favorite christmas gift is actually something I gave as a 13 year old kid. (I can't believe I was so thoughtful at 13) My mom would always read christmas stories to us every night during december. For as long as I could remember she just had sheets of paper that were very ratty at the edges and starting to rip. So I typed up (on our old dinosaur of a computer) ALL of the christmas stories and printed them out and put them in a binder for her. It is probably one of the only gifts I remember as a kid because I remember how I felt when she opened it and just cried when she saw it.
I remember a stuffed cat I got one year it was my favorite!!! My parents got rid of it,so sad. I still love cats though:) ^. .^
